As a Project Engineer in Cooling Technologies, you will be responsible for the tendering of requests for proposals and preparing costing in accordance with the validated data provided by the sales and technical teams. Prior to that, you will make sure you have gained an understanding of project scope – by studying thoroughly client requirements and specifications. In addition, you will keep a close eye on market developments and rival pricing in order to keep a competitive edge. Finally, you will make sure that the cooling service projects are successfully completed, in compliance with high-quality standards.

Your key responsibilities

Tendering:

• Prepare customer-focused offers and quotations for clients requiring a range of cooling products and solutions – ventilation units, air conditioners, chillers, condensers, and similar
• Prepare cost estimates, considering client requirements and resources that will be used (labour, equipment, materials, subcontractor costs, etc.)
• Work closely with colleagues from other departments such as sales, engineering, and operations teams, who will provide you with relevant and timely details and guidelines needed for precise quotations
• Ensure that every quotation is competitive and comprehensive for the client, and submitted in a timely manner

Project Management:

• Organise and manage the execution of cooling service projects in compliance with client demands and company standards
• Prepare detailed project plans that will include resource allocation, schedules, and budgets
• Manage project timetables, oversee progress and critical milestones to ensure project deliverables are achieved
• Communicate regularly with team members, sales team, technical support staff, as well as with clients and subcontractors to ensure the availability of resources and materials
• Visit project sites regularly to monitor project activities; address technical issues; and ensure full compliance with all relevant quality and safety measures, policies and guidelines, by all stakeholders

Customer Relationship Management:

• Be the main point of contact for clients, address their inquiries, concerns, and requests for changes during the entire project
• Maintain strong client relationships with a view to understanding clients’ needs and ensuring their satisfaction
• Work closely with sales teams to identify new sales opportunities or possibilities for project scope expansion

Documentation and Reporting:

• Create and keep accurate project documentation such as project plans, technical specifications, risk analyses, and progress reports
• Prepare regular reports on project status, budget use, and KPIs
• Ensure adherence to contractual requirements, industry regulations, and company policies and procedures

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify prospects for increasing project efficiency, quality, and level of client satisfaction
• Stay up to date with industry developments and trends, new technologies, and the applicable legislation
