Description

For one of its clients – an international player engaged in the production of electrical devices and sales of related services, who is strongly dedicated to sustainability and digital energy management transition – Artemys is looking for a Field Technician - Cooling Technologies, who will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the company’s cooling products and equipment installed at client sites.

Responsibilities

As a Field Technician - Cooling Technologies, you will be working with company products and solutions within the cooling range – refrigeration, air conditioners, ventilation units, chillers, and similar. You will be familiar with cooling systems and liquids, and, in addition, you will be responsible for providing technical support to company clients.

Key responsibilities:

• Instal, inspect, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a range of cooling products, equipment, and solutions
• Be familiar with and apply related standards of good practice at all times
• Provide technical support to your clients for all products, solutions, and services within the cooling range – give them technical details and instructions about the operation and maintenance of cooling equipment – both on-site and remotely
• Provide technical instructions and guidance to new and less experienced colleagues field technicians
• Analyse faults in equipment and interpret maintenance manuals, using knowledge of systems and electronics to isolate and correct issues
• Provide outstanding customer service; respond to emergency calls and be available for intervention
• Maintain service equipment, tools, and documentation
• Identify sales opportunities and present them to sales teams
• Perform preventive, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment
• Perform basic audits of clients’ electrical systems and equipment
• Document all required information for each site (technical report)
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs
• Communicate regularly with team members, the sales team, technical support staff, and management, as well as with clients and subcontractors
• Adhere to all relevant quality and safety measures, policies and guidelines, and ensure their full compliance by all stakeholders
• Use designated digital tools to provide timely reports and perform administrative tasks as required

Qualifications

Technical skills and experience:

• Relevant degree in electronics / electricity / mechanics
• Experience in a related field is most welcome
• Fluency in Dutch and French; knowledge of English is considered a plus
• Certification for working with cooling equipment is a plus
• Technical knowledge of Belgian legal cooling regulations; knowledge of HVAC systems and applicable application software knowledge is preferred
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of the MS Office suite
• Ability to communicate effectively at various intellectual levels
• Verifiable hands-on technical work experience required
• Relevant experience with critical systems infrastructure equipment (i.e. electrical switchgear, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Willing to travel on business and training, occasionally and as required
• Flexible and open-minded personality, willing to invest in learning and development
