As an Application Design Engineer in Digital Power, you will develop and maintain a broad understanding of your company’s hardware and software components. The hardware components are intelligent, communicating energy and power devices that are connected to software components in order to collect and store data on consumption of power, gas, water, etc. In addition, you will gain a deep knowledge of the various monitoring applications that are part of the monitoring system. This system will enable clients to visualise the data in real-time, to monitor and analyse the data, as well as to obtain relevant reports in real-time. The goal is to identify opportunities for energy savings and to monitor the savings results over time.

Once you have fully understood the hardware and software components, the collected client data, and how this data can be used to visualise the client's energy consumption, you will team up with the client. Together, you will identify the client’s needs and create a system that will be specifically tailored to its energy efficiency requirements in the long term. With your help, the client will make rational use of energy and thus reduce its operational costs and limit the impact on the environment.

As an Application Design Engineer in Digital Power, you will have the following key responsibilities:

• Consistently pursue and update your skills, to translate the client’s needs into a tailor-made solution
• Make sure you are fully familiar with the management system you will be working with – the hardware and software components, their capabilities and functionality, and the applications that will be delivered to the client
• Interact with the clients to identify their needs and understand their requirements and specifications
• Based on the collected data, create a system that will be the best fit for the client’s needs and demands
• Work closely with your manager, as well as the sales team to make price calculations according to specific client requests and/or specifications
• Present your solution to the client, together with the technical plan and the commercial offer
• Educate the client – make sure they understand your products and services, how they can make the most of your range, and why it can bring them added value
• Monitor the execution of service contracts, ensuring compliance with client demands and agreed deadlines, accurate contractual and financial performance, and a trustworthy relationship with the client
• Be the key point of contact for clients, address their inquiries, and provide after-sales technical support to the client in close cooperation with the sales team, ensuring full client satisfaction
• Divide your work time between your office and client sites
