Technical Service Support Specialist - Automation & Control

For one of its clients – an international player engaged in the manufacture of electrical devices and sale of related services, who is willing to generate business growth in Belgium – Artemys is looking for a Technical Service Support Specialist, able to improve customer satisfaction by providing high quality, professional Primary Technical Support to Automation & Control customers across industries.


• You provide customers with accurate technical information on products, prices, discounts, and applications, during the pre-sales, sales, and after-sales process.
• You take ownership and ensure the customer is satisfied before closing any request.
• You ensure a proper query resolution, closing, and escalation process with respect to product replacement, on-site intervention, technical complaints, and product quality returns.
• You detect meaningful opportunities in customer support and address customer support requests.
• You communicate with relevant Quotation, Sales or Marketing contacts with respect to special prices.
• You liaise between customers and after-sales/marketing departments relating to product quality returns.
• You identify new business opportunities, define and quote product and equipment based on customers’ requests.
• You provide first-level pre-sales and post-sales technical support in Dutch, French, and English, by phone, email, and chat, with respect to Low Voltage Electrical Distribution product selection (e.g., product installation, technical characteristics, technical complaints).
• You have a back-up role for the tasks performed in the Customer Care Centre, i.e., you provide general/technical/management support.
• You issue quotations in line with customer requests and the required standards (cross references, configuration, mix of products in cooperation with local country representatives).
• You are willing to develop skills and undergo continuous training with respect to new products, technologies, and applications, and you proactively do research into new products, technologies, and applications.
• You participate in ongoing Customer Care improvement processes by dealing with complaint and knowledge management.


• You have a relevant degree: Master / Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in a Technical Support, Inside Sales and/or Customer Service is much appreciated
• You have experience or are willing to build up your knowledge in: Electricity, Electrical Distribution, Energy Management; Protection, Control and Management of electrical systems; Automation & Control solutions; Electronics, Frequency Drives & Softstarters
• You have some knowledge of Programmable Logical Controllers (PLC) and PLC Development Software (STX = structured text, Function blocks = FBD and/or Ladder)
• You may have some knowledge of Visualization systems (HMI), Communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet, etc.), Electrical Distribution and Protection (Contactors)
• You are bilingual in Dutch and French + you speak English fluently
• You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
• You are a reliable team player, you demonstrate adaptability in the workplace and you learn quickly
• You have the ability to understand customer requests by using your problem-solving skills, as well as to understand and explain technical information (both verbal and written)
