On behalf of MDWind, we are looking for a QHSE Manager – Wind Sector to ensure effective implementation of the QHSE management systems and contribute to continuous improvement of company performance.

Location: Weiswampach, Luxembourg

Responsibilities

As a QHSE Manager – Wind Sector, you will be responsible for effective management of all company activities relating to the quality, health, safety, and environment framework, with particular emphasis on safety and security of people and material resources, risk assessment and risk prevention strategy.

In other words, you will make sure that all operational activities are carried out in compliance with: company policies and procedures; relevant standards governing the safety and security of all personnel and material; all applicable accreditations, certifications, and requirements of ISO and other relevant standards.

Your responsibilities, within the key aspects of your role, will be as follows:

HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT
• Have overall responsibility for the Company’s HSE processes and procedures – develop and maintain systems that establish appropriate safety and security standards; monitor compliance; and measure/report on performance
• Provide technical support to your team for the design of the Company’s HSE Processes and Procedures, and all related documentation
• Promote the application of HSE legislation, and all relevant industry instruments and guidelines
• Assess and monitor impacts of HSE legislative changes – keep awareness of evolving industry HSE regulations and best practices and how they could be applied to the Company’s operations
• Provide advice on safe systems of work to comply with current and new HSE legislation
• Perform risk analysis before every project in the following manner: document and review risk assessments, maintain and update the relevant documentation ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, implement the results, and communicate them to the client
• Coordinate and conduct internal HSE audits – perform regular site inspections to verify safety conditions and to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures; make sure the required documentation (project work plans, security plans, evacuation plans, reports, etc.) is prepared in accordance with HSE standards and regulations and submitted to the client on time
• Provide practical support to the external organisations to ensure compliance with both internal and external standards; liaise with HSE auditors to ensure the Company acquires/maintains its accreditations
• Report and analyse non-conformities, accidents, and hazardous occurrences at year-end, analyse all accidents, incidents, near-miss reports, and non-conformances and report to management
• Ensure that the correct Personal Protective Equipment is worn whenever required

QUALITY
• Have overall responsibility for Quality Management – review, develop and manage all standards, policies, and systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable accreditations and certifications
• Provide technical support to your team for the design of the Company’s Quality Processes and Procedures, and all related documentation
• Provide technical support in the creation of all relevant templates and documents, as well as in modification management
• Assist the leadership team to develop job descriptions and process descriptions, and provide support for SWOT analysis
• Arrange for external audits, prepare the necessary documentation, and ensure all required accreditations and certifications are obtained as per agreed timescales
• Monitor and maintain the process of Continuous Improvement
• Collate, review and document Management Review Reports, annual HSEQ Action Plans, end of month safety reports, safety statistic reports for clients

Qualifications

As a QHSE Manager – Wind Sector, you will share MDWind’s values and objectives, and you will actively contribute to its building a strong competitive position. It is therefore essential that you have:

• Relevant technical background, ideally with proven experience as a HSEQ Coordinator or similar role
• Experience in the wind energy sector is a plus
• Strong organisation, planning, and risk management skills
• Ability to work with deadlines and manage stress
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team spirit
• Good operational knowledge of MS Office tools, such as Navision, Excel, Power BI
• Professional proficiency in French and a very good command of English
• Business minded, in other words proactive and curious, able to anticipate and forecast, willing to ask questions, double-check, and challenge
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach, as well as the ability to see the “big picture”, look at a problem from different perspectives
• A hands-on, agile work style and a “can-do” attitude
• Strong, self-confident personality, autonomous and yet with a strong team spirit
