Description

One of our major clients is a leading global manufacturer of electrical devices and a provider of related services. On their behalf, we are searching for a Project Manager – Medium-Voltage, who will be in charge of the engineering and project management aspects of the Medium-Voltage equipment installation projects, and who will ensure the quality and accuracy of each project from the design phase to its conclusion.

 

Location: Brussels; Liège

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager – Medium-Voltage, you will be part of a business unit that manufactures, sells, and installs Medium-Voltage switchgear – a variety of modular air-insulated and gas-insulated Medium-Voltage products and solutions for secondary distribution requirements, for commercial and industrial buildings and utilities. You will be responsible for the engineering (using software such as E-Plan / AutoCad / SEE electrical) and for the execution of the Medium-Voltage product range installation projects in Belgium.

 

Your key roles and responsibilities will be as follows:

 

  • Manage Medium-Voltage product and project orders placed by various clients end to end, i.e.:
  • examine the clients’ needs and specifications
  • monitor the preparation of technical offers
  • make sure that each order is delivered in line with the clients’ requirements in terms of the quantity, deadline, and budget
  • Draft technical diagrams (E-Plan, AutoCad, and/or SEE electrical), participate in project design development, and make modifications in compliance with client requirements and company technical and quality standards
  • Ensure effective coordination and execution of project tasks, the accuracy and the quality of work performed
  • Make sure that the proper material is manufactured and delivered to the client on time
  • Provide technical support to the team, ensure a good working atmosphere and cooperation within, and a high level of client focus
  • Participate in the execution of Factory Acceptance tests in the company’s factories, and Site Acceptance tests at client sites
  • Communicate regularly with the client, provide accurate and timely feedback and reporting, and ensure a high level of client satisfaction
  • Regularly perform project follow-up and other relevant administrative tasks (update databases with drawings, technical and other relevant documents, etc.)
Qualifications

Technical skills and experience:

  • A relevant technical degree in Industrial Electricity/Electromechanics
  • Fluency in Dutch and French + good knowledge of English
  • Strong electrical background; experience in similar roles and technical knowledge in the field of Medium-Voltage / Low-Voltage switchgear will be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of E-Plan, AutoCad, and/or SEE electrical
  • Ability to read, interpret, and prepare technical specifications
  • Ability to develop a deep and analytical understanding of clients’ business and needs
  • Other competencies and qualities:
