E-Mobility and Smart Building Technician

For one of its clients – an international player engaged in the manufacture of electrical devices and sales of related services and the leader in the energy transition – Artemys is looking for an E-Mobility and Smart Building Technician, who will be a reinforcement to a multi-cultural and multi-territory team that provides services to the clients on the eMobility and Smart Building markets across the region of Belgium and the Netherlands.


Location: Brussels, Uccle


As an E-Mobility and Smart Building Technician, you will be working on a cross-functional basis, and you will be providing services related to the cutting-edge E-Mobility and Building Management technologies, more precisely the electrification of the E-Mobility and Building Management systems.


Your daily tasks will include installing and maintaining products and equipment within a range of Building Management systems and solutions, as well as the equipment that will enable our clients and partners to operate their electric vehicles (EV) charging infrastructure, such as electric vehicle AC and DC chargers, power distribution, load management controllers, to name only a few. In addition, you will also provide technical help and support, both remotely and on-site.


Key responsibilities:


  • Provide highly professional technical service to clients on-site: instal, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair client equipment within the range of eMobility and Smart Building products and solutions; respond to emergency calls and be available for intervention
  • Provide technical support to clients – advice on best practices, new services and upgrade opportunities, and instructions about operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Perform start-up/commissioning on equipment across the product portfolio; perform preventive, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain service equipment and tools
  • Perform basic audits of clients’ electrical systems and equipment
  • Contribute to the coordination and execution of small projects on customer site (e.g., end of life, modernization, upgrades); document all required information for each site (technical report)
  • Carry out remote investigation of breakdowns and submit fixes; properly document, label, and return all defective parts used in the repair of equipment to the designated disposal/repair location
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades that will meet client needs
  • Participate in site visits, evaluating technical and professional performance
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Relevant technical degree in electricity / electronics
  • Fluency in Dutch and good knowledge of French; knowledge of English is considered a plus
  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret: blueprints and other service documents (specifications, etc.), as well as general business procedures, professional documents, technical procedures, etc.
  • Verifiable hands-on technical work experience with system infrastructure equipment
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at various intellectual levels
  • Ability to solve problems and work as a true team player
  • Willingness to obtain a certification in safety (VCA) and electrical competence (BA4/BA5) or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license
