Description

For one of its clients – a leading global player engaged in the manufacture of electrical devices and sales of related services – Artemys is looking for a Business Developer for Domotic / Home Automation / KNX Solutions, who will take the lead and support the growth of the smart home systems business in Belgium.

Location: Brussels Region, Flemish Region, Walloon Region

Responsibilities

As Business Developer – Domotic / Home Automation / KNX Solutions, you will be part of the organisation that is ranked one of the most sustainable global companies. You will be responsible for the promotion and sales of a wide range of home automation and KNX solutions for various sectors, including the tertiary sector.

From day one, you will be encouraged to learn and develop continuously – through various online technical courses and professional education programs – with a view to becoming a product specialist in the field of home automation and smart home systems.
You will not be limited to one particular market segment; rather, you will be working in a diffuse market and focused on multiple stakeholders and sales channels.
Lastly, you will be working with a team of sales professionals and project managers who will help you achieve key annual sales targets and objectives.

As Business Developer – Domotic / Home Automation / KNX Solutions, you will:

 Promote and sell a wide range of KNX / Domotic products and solutions primarily for the tertiary sector; your client portfolio will comprise resellers, engineering offices, installers, end-users, and industries
 Provide complete tailor-made solutions to clients – not only the hardware components, but software tools and subsequent monitoring services as well
 Actively contribute to the growth of the business in Belgium – proactively develop new business opportunities with existing and future customers and conduct commercial negotiations
 Build up deep technical knowledge of the KNX technology and act as a product specialist
 Cooperate closely with other sales units and teams within the company – provide them with technical support, share knowledge and experience, and where necessary participate together in client meetings
 Be able to rely on the support functions that will help you achieve your sales objectives
 Engage in client education: design the best tailor-made technical solution for your clients; train and inform your clients about the smart home automation technology; help them understand your KNX / Domotic range of
products, how they can make the most of it, and why it can bring them added value
 Prepare and ensure to execute an annual sales plan for key accounts
 Plan your own agenda and register your activities in the CRM system
 Be a team player and be prepared for continuous learning and development from day one

Qualifications

As Business Developer – Domotic / Home Automation / KNX Solutions, you will have:

 A relevant technical degree in engineering
 Proficiency in Dutch or French, and a good base in the other national language
 Experience in technical sales in the field of electrical material
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (knowledge of DIALux is a plus)
 Entrepreneurial spirit, flexibility, and a positive attitude
 Strong communication skills and ability to build sustainable and reliable client relationships
 Strong negotiation and sales management skills
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 Intense focus on your personal and professional development – willingness to be trained on a continuing basis and evolve within an inspiring and engaging work environment
